I made three plans for sump. The existing aquarium will be converted as sump and existing sump will be frag tank.

Plan C is final until now from my side. (Suggestions are most well come) But the problem is only 2 cm bigger then table size. I have to make some amendment in Frag tank to fix under the stand.

Sea sun aquarium is good shop, Phoket Aquarium is also good shop.

Everything for this hobby is really cheap in this market. Corals and fishes you can find in just a couple of Baht. I really miss Bangkok but I am too much happy in Saudi Arabia.

The stand idea is from Andrew, living in Hong Kong. I mentioned in my early thread that Andrew send me the complete schematic drawings with dimensions to build similar like his stand.

I made little changes. Today evening I will get stand, ll post real stand photos by tomorrow. Stay tuned.

As I mentioned that existing, tank will be sump and sump will be Frag Tank. I made the plumbing plan to fulfill the requirement of Refugium and Frag tank. My plan not to release too much water direct from tank in mentioned area to avoid detritus to get stay and make water parameters unstable. (Ammonia, Nitrate, and Phosphate).

90% Drain from the tank will be in Protein skimmer Area and after that 100 micron Acrylic will filter total volume of water, which pass through bubble trap area. I change Acrylic every twice a week. Normally I just open this Acrylic barrier for 10 hours when I feed my coral.

PLUMBING

And need more

I'll post the photos later today. I was not expecting, but excellent workmanship.

Lokking good so far.
What I would think about:
-Why have hte frag tank as separate part of the sump? you're loosing the space in between the frag and sump and that space you could use for a set of additional frags with the same lighting and filtration... I have the same design currently and wish the sump contained the frag tank this way I only loose the glass thinckness compared to what you loose here. the tubing in between the tanks will need to have a quick disconnect and locks to allow for stopping waterflow in case yo uneed to take the frag tank off when treating corals in it... so those will consume space.
- are you going to light the frag with T5s or MH? in case it's MH then you need to make sure you have 8-12 inches from the lower side of the reflector to water or else you'll have a hard time light acclimating the corals and dealing with the heat as I have in my setup.
-Skimmer partition in you plan is 37 cm so most probably you'll need to elevate your skimmer around 12 cm as most skimmers work best between 18-25 cm in water. so add that to your skimmer length and allow 1-2 inches for easy removal of the collection cup and make sure your stand is high enough. I had made my calculations but the stand came with horizontal support of the top part positioned vertically on the metal which consummed 3 inches more and made it very difficult to position the skimmer.

Good luck with the build.

Hi bro.
Thanks and nice you are here with me

Lokking good so far.
What I would think about:
-Why have hte frag tank as separate part of the sump? you're loosing the space in between the frag and sump and that space you could use for a set of additional frags with the same lighting and filtration... I have the same design currently and wish the sump contained the frag tank this way I only loose the glass thinckness compared to what you loose here. the tubing in between the tanks will need to have a quick disconnect and locks to allow for stopping waterflow in case yo uneed to take the frag tank off when treating corals in it... so those will consume space.

As I mentioned that existing sump will be Frag tank. So this the only way that I can joint the frag tank with sump.
Yes, exactly the both joint of Frag tank to the main sump will have gates to completely block the water circulation in case of any treatment of corals. That is why I made only 5% drain from the tank in frag tank. This is what I planned.

As I mentioned that I have to open my sump again and adjust the measurements according the space remaining. Sump and frag tank is only 2 cm longer then stand.

- are you going to light the frag with T5s or MH? in case it's MH then you need to make sure you have 8-12 inches from the lower side of the reflector to water or else you'll have a hard time light acclimating the corals and dealing with the heat as I have in my setup.

Yes of course, it will have three different wattage of T5 with one Actinic Blue and one 150 watt MH. The reason is to installing 3 different wattage of T5 for proper acclimation of the coral with PAR. I’ll increase light gradually instead of putting them under 150W MH directly. This is what I will do.

Yes, exactly what you wrote down above is correct. All has been done with proper planning. Hope whatever I have done will not give me any hard time.

In three years, I made uncountable experiments with my existing aquarium sump and all other stuff. .

Good luck with the build.

Thanks again for your valuable suggestions.
