Long Term Success w/Fridge Auto-Feeder

After suffering a catastrophic GHA outbreak in a 210 gal FOWLR that was running smoothly for about 3 years, I took it down to do some house renovations. Now that the renovations are complete, I have rebuilt it as a reef. I am very interested in refrigerated auto-feeding systems using dosing pumps as discussed in this thread:

As these thread/videos are several years old and I haven't seen any updates, I would be very interested to learn if anyone has had long term success with these feeders. In particular, I'd like to know how the dosing pumps faired while being located in a fridge and if the dosing/feeding was able to be controlled so that nutrients didn't build up to the point that an algae outbreak occurred.
