How do these Aussie corals look?
I'm trying to aqua culture them. I brought them as rare and paid quite a pretty penny for a one eye frag. After one year this is what they look like. I feed at least once a week Mysis Shrimp.
Symphyllia Wilsoni (Electric Orange Middle) Today, Now has two mouths. Seems to have lost some of the extra color it had. So I guess I cant pm people until I have 10 posts -.- (so mean to us quite folk) but here is my response to your pm
"I paid 200$ for it at LFS and 50$ for another purple white and green one, it got stung up really bad by another coral although he's recovering awesomely. To bad there such slow growers -.- . I know I over paid for the orange one but I couldn't walk out with out it." Those mother colonies have some crazy coloring hope yours colors up like that when they get bigger. |

I've heard in order to keep them those vibrant colors you have to have very blue lights at least 20k blue leds. And lower light also.I hope they color back up for you. GL

I use 150 watt phoenix MH.. Still not coloring up. The wilsoni actually lost color and just has two tone orange and some green.

I've had some luck with the welsoni I purchased a while ago that was severely damaged by another coral. Under led 80% blue 30% white. On the sand bed.

Nice colors. The bright yellow orange really makes the coral so much nicer looking.
