Brown algae issue

Hi all,

Im building a 340 gallon acrylic reef setup. In the meantime, I couldn't wait for my build out so started a 55 gallon corner aquarium. It has been up for 6 weeks now, and I've added some fish, and a few corals.

I have some snails in there (buying more tomorrow), 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 0 nitrates, but my API test kit phosphates are about 2.0 and there's becoming a lot of brown algae on the rocket etc. I'm afraid of my tank dying off and or all corals dying off.

Any tips for anything I can do to drop my phosphates/kill this brown algae quickly and safely?
