Arrow Size?

I recently bought a Ocellaris Clown for my Biocube 14. I went to the store today to get him/her an anemone. I was told that a bubble tip anemone was too big for my Biocube 14 and that the only anemone that would host my clown and fit was a Mini Carpet Anemone. I see Bubble Tip Anemone's all the time in Biocube 14's and was a little confused. My question is: Will the Mini Carpet Anemone host my clown, and can I put a bubble tip anemone or any other that host's an Ocellaris Clown in my Biocube 14, or are the too big? Thanks!

Mini carpet anemone? Can't say I know what that is. Is that the same thing as a maxi-mini anemone? If so, I have serious doubts about a clown using it. If you mean a carpet anemone that is small... they do grow and it can be rapid growth. I'd tend to agree that a 14g is kind of small for a BTA. They can get pretty good size, I've seen them the size of a football. But i've seen them is small tanks as well. It's not an easy call to make.

I see you are new to RC. Is your tank a new set up as well? I wouldn't recommend an anemone in a tank until it's 4-6 months old at the very minimum... 9 months is even better... especially in a smaller tank.

+1 to all that. There is a "mini carpet" and a "maxi mini carpet" but neither will host your clown. Any anemone that will host a clown will eventually fill a 14g from end to end. If you get a small BTA, you can keep it for awhile, but it will outgrow the tank in time.
