Ac3 and px 1000

Ok with the px 1000 has 6 switches and the Ac3 had two . When you hook up the px 1000 do you lose the 2 on the Ac3

The AC3 (not the AC3 Pro) has just the two switch inputs even if a PX1000 is connected.

The manual say it will give it 6 switch ports
