70G Refugium for a 55G SPS tank?

Will a 70gallon Refugium connected to a 55G mix reef be an over kill along wiht a skimmer rated for 200 to 300 gallon?

When it comes to fuges/sumps the bigger the better. It just can't be overkill. Large volumes of water help with stability, and that is key. Overskimming...I would do it. Others might argue that you can overskim by removing trace elements. I think this is a minor draw back to the benefit of clean water.

PS. this is the SPS ID forum. I would put this in the equipment forum.
