Two year old tank is cycling after redoing aquascape - should I be worried?

Hi,
I decided to redo my aquascaping to a more open type. Seven days latter I have cloudy water and a diatom bloom. I have sps (bali greens, birdsnest, lps, shrums, polys, rics, and a bunch of fish. My parameters have been great. Should I just do water changes and run carbon to reduce the impact to my tank inhabitants. Everything is looking fine except a neon green leather has retracted. I'm worried that cycling will harm my reef and fish.

Thanks,
Ryan

Have you tested for ammonia?

i wouldn't be worried i have dealt with these bacteria blooms almost everytime i move a tank. i would really call it a cycle just a bacteria bloom the bio filter is still capable of changing your nitirite to ammonia to nitrate. did you disturb your sand bed much? i would do a decent sized water change just for peace of mind

If the ammonia level is zero, the tank likely will be fine. If there is ammonia, I'd add some Amquel or Prime ASAP.

i bought an already tank setup from someone and after a few weeks of moving all the rock sand and critters i had a huge algae and cyano problem from disturbing the sandbed. it was actually CC. a few water changes and time youy should be back to normal in no time.
