I posted what I thought. Obviously it's something getting past our RODI units. Ordered all new filters today for my RODI. Also going to try running POLY filter and cuprasorb as a first step. Even gonna toss in some prime in case it's chloramine.

Same issues here Toky. Added poly filter last night and dropped in some prime. Going to try and find some cuprasorb today. Don't know if it's going to help or not. Thinking about going to an area not experiencing any issues and getting enough water to do a 50% water change and have enough for the auto top off for a week or 2. Gonna be lots of water.
Also thinking about sending a water sample out to one of the places that can do a full analysis and seeing what they have to say. Anyone else interested if I can find one of these places that may give us some sort of group discount? |

I'd do the water test, it would be interesting to see the differences in where people are and what their water test would show.

Haha, 4 carbon stages, 2 ro membranes, 2 di. I know it is overkill but it works! I should ozonate it and boil it on its way to the rodi reservoir. Thanks for the idea Jeff. Red slime be gone. Lol.

It's really starting to look like excessive po4 in the source water also while speaking to the rep at Sac Suburban Water she did tell me that Barium was testing at very high levels right now. I read that standard GFO leaches barium and aluminum based removes it. Don't know what barium effects in reef tanks but I'm willing to try anything right now or I'll be done with the hobby within 30 days. .
