Would you do this.

Would you put a unicorn tang in an 8 by 4 by 2 foot tall tank?

No a tang that gets 2ft should be given more space for swimming.

Besides the physical issues of such a large fish in that tank, I don't particularly like the illusion is creates. IMO it makes a big tank look very small. Heck if I'm going to drop all this money on buying and maintaining such a large tank, only to have a tuna sized fish in there making it look like a giant goldfish in a bowl

Do you have this tank? Or is this just another rhetorical question?

Don't get anything else until you get the tank. You have the eel, shark, purple tang, sohal tang, Achilles tang, and I think yellow tang all in your 90. It also has to mature for those to survive too so you can buy other fish in the future afterwards.

That is what I call upgrade fever!

Don't get a unicorn. Go to a public aquarium that has a full size one with a large horn and you will instantly realize they need a huge tank.
