Clown fish and Anemone
I have a female Osc clown and she has bonded well with the Anemone, but when I have added another clown: she killed it in less that 12 hrs. I put an arrow crab in the tank two weeks ago, it had a molt and she killed it, while it was vulnerable. Has anyone else had a problem with a clown wanting the tank and anemone to itself? I have more than one tank, but I would like more than hermits, 1 clown and 1 anemone and a live rock, any suggestions?

Buy the smallest clown fish you can find. I had the same problem with my Clarki killing every clown fish I put in with her. If there very small they will be less aggressive

I bought a pair of Maine Blizzard Clowns that were about 1 1/2" that seemed to get along ok in the empty LFS tank. Once they got in my tank the larger one violently attacked the other and I found it on the floor when I got home from work. Purchased a very tiny baby percula ... probably under 1" and it tried to kill it as soon as I put it in the tank - had to remove it to save it. It now shares the tank with 1 other fish, royal gramma which it likes. I dont think I'll ever put another clownfish in with this one I have

Why it's best to intro in a breeder box or acclimation box, let the female check out male, get used to it, and a protective barrier just in case, sometimes a female just won't accept some males.
