Yup, this doesnt work much better, it crashes on update firmware, and still says I need to download cm. Im not sure what your people did but its not any better, Its frustrating reprogramming the light everytime these updates fail.

Go into your activity monitor. Click on Ecosmart live connection manager and hit quit process/ force quit.

Everything seemed to work accordingly to me with my Mac. I had to rename and regroup my light after the update but no big deal. I was unable to Browse to import a graph after downloading Jon's graph to my computer.

I tried that a few times and no new results, Im going to wait until they say to try again. IMO its too much work to install everything, try to program the light just to go back into windows and reset it. The whole point of this ESL was to avoid using windows on my mac.

What's the reason for ecotech live if you cannot control the lights without the usb cable? What's different?

I may be missing something, but I thought the point was to control the radion wirelessly and get rid of the annoying USB connection. Short of that, I thin there is little value

What issues are experiencing? Can you please try closing your browser and the Connection Manager. Then reopen your browser and the Connection Manager and see if that helps. Due to the amount of operations that take place when the EcoSmart Live page first loads, patience is key while the device is retrieved and other parameters are synchronized.

For starters, why does ESL keep prompting me to install the CM when it was already installed? I couldnt get very far with the resent update, I will try later tonight.

Hopefully the web-based tool will be easier to keep updated for EcoTech. Still wish there was a way to control your LEDs without plugging one in. I know there are 3rd party wireless adapters that you can buy that will do it, but would be awesome if EcoTech sold one and supported it.

I was able to get it to work. One thing that seemed to help was to restart your computer. I was still getting the disconnect/connect but once I updated the firmware things seem to settle down. When I installed I couldn't get the light recognized and was having the disconnect issues. I closed everything out and did a restart and used the icon at the top and was able to program my light. Patience and some ignorance seems to be key.

Updating and working fine here.
Only problem i have is the time points shifting all the time even if i import/export my graph as soon as the radion is detected it puts in a stupid time like 6:00am my start time is 1:00pm. as for WIFI this too much hassle imagine trouble shooting 1000s of different routers to get network access. live is a good decision by ecotech the software gets updated automatically. All i would like is to control the pumps in the future as the pumps already talk with the radions just design the software to have a pump tab on the live software that can be programmed for pump output at certain times. thanks ecotech fro bringing control to my MAC |
