Nero 5 Guard

Has anyone used this, or something similar? I have lost two small wrasses, a few snails, a starfish and have just picked out my sand-sifting starfish. https://www.melevsreef.com/product/nero-5-snail-guard

I can certainly see how it would be useful/needed if thats your track record so far..
I am usually of the opinion that if a fish makes it into a powerhead it was on the way out anyways.. A healthy fish should be able to escape without issue.

I have not used that specific guard but have used a 3D printed guard on the mp40’s. I had lost fish with the mp40’s. After installing I did not loose another fish but did have to clean guards more frequently which may or may not be an issue with your setup.

That would "normally" be my opinion but not so much in this case but my Nero has inhaled shrimp, snails and as of today, 3 starfish
