Plumbing ?

I'm redoing my sump. Currently have reefflo pump going with submersible sicce. The reef flo is 1 1/2 plumbing the sicce is just 1 inch. Would it be okay to just get reducer and use same plumbing? Or should I redo everything in 1 inch.

A reducer is all you need..

Not a problem at all to have larger pipe.. smaller than needed can be a problem.. but not a little larger..

I agree with the others, no need to redo the plumbing. I know our systems don’t have a great deal of pressure but that 45 fitting right above your return pump is actually a dwv fitting & not rated for pressure. It is a drain fitting. U can tell the difference by how far the pvc slides into the fitting. A fitting rated for pressure the pvc will slide into the fitting about 1.25”. A drain fitting (dwv) it will only slide into it 3/4”.

Well thanks for the tips. I decided I wanted to redo the plumbing. The new sump is so nice looking I decided to redo in red and white to match my sump. This is all out in my garage so I see it everyday. This all supports my 190 in my entryway into the house. New sump was built by synergy and is a work of art.
