help please..Metal or Wood Stand?

Hey Everyone,

I have a 124"x28"Highx40"Wide Glass Tank incoming.

can someone help me with the Stand design?
Does it have to be metal or Can I get away with Wood?

Thank you for any input.

You could absolutely do either. As long as it is well planned wood and metal can support the weight of the tank with water.

You don't really know any of the qualifications for people on here. Your best best is ask your local reef club if there is a person that builds stands, and talk with him.

Here's the build of my tank and steel stand.
96" x 30" wide x 32" tall.
I think just one more section of the steel stand would do for yours.
( Note, I am not a professional steel tank stand designer, and anything I say
should be taken with a grain of salt )

Note: if you think my design might not be enough, you could always go the next size larger with the steel.

That's a pretty huuuuge size tank you got and didn't think through on stand?! Anyways my tank is 96x30x30 and I build mine out of 2x6's and 2x4's 3 years ago and I dont have any experience in wood work. All I'm saying it's not s scary of a diy project.
Look on Google for ideas on how to build one
