BHAM Frag Swap??
I know that we have the one coming up in Montgomery and will have a great turn out. I know what some of the people have and know that have some good stuff. I wish I was able to come but my work schedule has been horrible. But enought with the complaining.... Would it be possible for us to set something up here in the Birmingham Area?? I know that there is some places that might be able to let us us a room for free or a very little cost. Who would be interested in doing this??

Have good news. My cafe will be opening in June. The place will technically be closed on Saturdays so we can have meetings there and stay as long as we like. We will not have to worry about the crowd of a restaurant either. Just a thought.

I am working on us (CARC) having a frag swap at my church. It will be a lot like the Tenn. frag swap. I am working on getting vendors lined up if anyone has info on this pm me. Probably $10 a table and a can good to get in to help stock our food closet for the needy. Hopefully we can get some things to raffle. More info coming soon.

It will be good for us in the area and will help some people out in these bad times. Hopefully get some donations from the vendors.

Good job bro. It's great to see doers instead of just talkers. Lots of peeps have plans and good ideas nut few actually DO. Let me know if I can help.

It's always cool to have an event named after your club but my theory is that just the very nature of clubs makes it a bad idea. I say just organize a frag swap in Birmingham. What I mean is that clubs, by design, alienate the people who are not members. It's what the are for. So having it be a CARC frag swap will automatically alienate some who may have shown up otherwise. IMO.

Talk to Ty at Ocea that is close to him. Also Alti at Alti reef. He told me at one time he would sponsor a frag swap in Alabama. His website is http://altisreef.com/ It would be nice to have a frag swap this close to home.

You all don't need to think random..... CARC can be just as good as any other reef club... Jack and I will help to sponser a central alabama reef club event.. even if we are from Tennessee.
we can pull of a frag swap.... it is just a matter of determination.... MTRC are not better than we are.... we can do it if we all pull together and just DO IT!!!! we can make the CARC better than MTRC could ever be... we just have to stick together and endure!!!!WE CAN DO IT!!!!! Tritons Garden |

I think everyone knows frag swaps are for all clubs and individuals to come to. So having our club name on it just help us get more people into it. I have a building with snacks and tables. Waiting to find out date for sure but the end of may is memorial day so the 8th to set up and the 9th for the event I think is ok. I am going to know for sure soon.
