Could be but I haven’t added any new rock to tank and it’s a frag tank with one big rock. I didn’t add any starfish and haven’t noticed anything

looks like a weird shaped starfish. One arm has just got too huge... maybe it’s the broken arm. The other smaller ones are new arms.

Yes I thought it was a star fish too but weird it’s only one leg and I never added a star fish to frag tank and haven’t added anything new to tank in about 7 months

What must've happened was that a severed starfish leg somehow got into your frag tank, then it grew a new body. It's not uncommon for severed limbs to re-attach to completely different starfish (i.e., not the individual who lost the limb), and they just as often grow into a completely new starfish if they manage to survive long enough. The three little nub arms are the new arms it grew. Did you keep the weirdo?
