1000GL mixed SPS and tang reef

Hi there, this is my 1.5 year old system ‘reboot.’ I lost most livestocks due to a Brooknylle outbreak last year and had to start over the tank including replacing most invertebrates after a failed attempt to treat the display with chloroquine Phosphate. The tank is 5 months old now and all fishes were quarantined and tank went through a preventive 78d fallow period so fingers crossed this time. Let me know what you guys think.

Tank dimensions: 10.5 x 4.5 x 3’
System volume: 1000GL + 300GL sump
Lighting: AI Hydra 52HD x 8
Skimmer: Bubble King 300
Main pump: Reeflo Sequence Hammer head
Calclium reactor: H&S custom built
Sulfur reactor: H&S

Current fishes:
Yellow tang x 5, Naso tang x 2, Hippo tang x 2, Gem tang , Achilles tang, Powder Blue, Powder Brown, Foxface x 2, Sailfin tang, Purple tang

I actually quarantine all 16 tangs at the same time in 6 separate tanks and introduce them together. It was somewhat painful but totally worth it.

They still sparr with each other from time to time but without causing serious injuries. Most of the time they graze together peacefully.

Wow, that is really cool! In a tank that big you could consider a blue unicorn tang. :0)

Is your tank glass or acrylic? Which tank manufacturer did you consider?

Thanks. It seems this RC forum is not as frequented as in years past. There was a time when there was a lot of activity and even a sub-forum for only large tanks. There was a hobbyist by the name of Chingchai or similar sounding name that had a beautiful tank about 10 years ago... Thanks for the heads up.
