phone: (865) 588-2073

Coral Reef

If we really want to cover the entire spread:

Ken and Mac's in Maryville

Petland in Maryville

You'll have to find info for them, I'm too lazy.

There's also the place in Morristown...someone else probably knows more about that than I do.

If we're going to consider UTS "local", do you want to list Chattanooga-area stores as well?

If so, there's Michael's Aquatic Den in Cleveland, Bermuds Triangle in Chattanooga, Aquatic Illusions in Chattanooga, and a new place that just opened where Aquatic Wildlife used to be...can't remember the name for the life of me now...

Just wanted to add a side note....as of December 31st, Exotic Pets will be closed. The store is closing due to the owner's health failing, and a slow economy. This will be a loss to our area, but hopefully something will come up to help us out int his area.

Not trying to capitalize on someone else's misfortune, but do you have any idea if they'll be selling the displays and tanks and whatnot in the store? Could be a good opportunity to help them out with some incoming cash and a chance for members to snag some great deals.

I think Ken and Macs unfortunately is going out of business, or at least thats what i heard. Sucks because thats the place where i bought my first setup when i was 10 or so.

Aquarium on Papermill has an excellent website ifyou want to update your post.

Ken and macs is closed and opened under new management and ownership. You can look up the new info I will try to get a new name and number.
As far as Pet-land in Maryville, the man named Dennis is not there anymore. The new manager's name is Terrie. She is real good to deal with. She cares alot about the fish. I also work there, my name is Michael. You can also ask for Greg. He is real good at FW Chiclids

Anybody know anything more about the old Aquatic Wildlife location? I remember when they were in Cleveland, and the location(s) in Chattanooga were pretty neat. It was always like xmas and my b-day when I went there, and pretty easy to blow the monthly reefing budget buying frags.

Just spent about 2 hours in 5th Day Creations today and I must say I am impressed. They offer a wide variety of corals and some fish and just have wonderful displays for the coral. I chatted with both owners for about 30-45 minutes each about their struggles with the store, some of the fun aspects of the hobby etc. I just really enjoyed being able to walk around and enjoy what they have to offer. I will be bringing back several zoa frags for my schools tank with much thanks to 5th Day Creations!

At Exotic Pet Center in Sevierville, you can go "shopping" at sunpet.com and let exotic pets know what you want. if you let them know on wednesday, they'll have them there about 10am on friday. i got a couple fish that way and it worked out great...
