The S400+ is rated to 340w, with the driver rated to 450w

The Zeus appear smaller, and probably don't have the ability to cope with the power without active cooling perhaps (Im guessing here)

You have to specify either App controlled (S plus) or wireless/controller. AquaZealer is the app name.

If you speak to the guys, they may sell you an upgrade kit which replaces the main board and the end plates to upgrade a S-series to an S-plus.

I did this to upgrade my S-series to an android controlled S-Plus, but the apple version does not work on it. It's no biggie for me as I have a dedicated tablet wall mounted next to the tank for lights and occasional apex control

Kevin at ledzeal said the zues was 250 w and the Malibu was 310 w. I am just worried about 27inch water depth.

I would give Kevin the dimensions and what you want to achieve and let him advise. I know nothing about the Zeus I'm afraid.

I have 24" water depth and light on the sandbed is good. I've seen them growing clams on the sandbed of another tank and plenty of deeper tanks running them

That will depend on the lenses you select.

My tank is 36" deep, minus a 6" plenum, so I'm around 30" and I have a clam at the bottom of the tank.

Kevin recommend 2 with 90 degree lenses. I was hoping someone had experience with the Zeus line, as they are newish. I am just afraid they will lack the punch at 27inchs

Did you end up going with the 90 or 120 lenses? I'm going to put this over a nuvo 30L and think the 120's will blend better and still have enough power to grow in my shallow 12 inch tank. Thoughts?

Kevin had recommended 2 lights with 90 degree lenses. I ended up getting 3 as I wanted to avoid shadowing and I wanted all the lights to match each other. I haven't done any par testing yet, but they seem brighter then the triple 250 w mh they replaced, when they are cranked up.

Placed an order for the Zeus 150 (33 inch) with 120 optics for my Nuvo 30L build. Will do a full thread and review of the lights when the tank is up an running in about a month (switching from Kessil a360we).

If you're interested in buying these, it doesn't seem like there is a place to order them on their website. I had to email LEDZEAL with my request and they sent me a paypay invoice.

Total cost was:
Unit: $159
Wifi Controller: $65
Shipping: $60

I like my zues so far. They are pretty slick looking. The app to set them up is a little wonky, but once you get the hang of it is not bad.

I'm missing some pics of LEDZeal powered SPS and corals since I'm still getting my parameters back to where they need to be after the doser wipeout.

Would any of you lovely people post some photos of your tanks please?

It would be great to see how the Zeus units are going too.

I am really interested in seeing what people think of these. I can't find much information anywhere on the web to compare how they are to other LED's.

I have had the zues series on my tank for 6 weeks or so. I am quite happy with them. Everything seems to be growing nicely. I have them at 35% for my softie tank. I feel they would be more than powerful enough for sps.

How is the disco effect on them? Any dead spots?

I have a 300dd. Measures 6x3x27 inch's. I have 3 lights 5 foot x 6 inch's. So it is pretty covered. Kevin at ledzeal recommended 2 lights

Are you able to slowly ramp the lights from sunrise to peak then to sunset with the Zeus lights? Or is it a drastic switch like my T5 2 switch unit does?

You can ramp it up and down. There are 4 channels. Rb, whites, red and green , and rb/another blue. It goes through their aquazealer app. It is a little bit of a pain to set up and use the app, but I did the programming a few times and left it alone.
