Looking for wavemaker for 14 biocube.
Im in need of some advice on what wavemaking setup for a 14 bio.
I odered a Hydor smart wave and two 240gph nano powerheads but canceled the order when I realized how limited the smartwave's controls are. I would like something that will alternate from both on part of the day...to alternating part of the day. Where Smartwave only allows for one or the other. I realize I can accomplish more option with an mp10 or an apex or something in a much higher category but I was trying to keep the budget below $100 on the wavemaker. |

What did you end up going with? I’m looking for a new wave maker for my 25 gallon cube now.

I am using this one on my 25 gallon cube.
http://www.reefsupplies.ca/online-st...ontroller.html I might add this one shortly as my tank is jammed packed with SPS corals. http://www.reefsupplies.ca/online-st...2-600-GPH.html |

Aquamedic makes a great product and is reasonably priced. I don't support Jaebo. I have the Ecodrift 8.0 I believe it is. It was waaay to much for my 30 gallon. They make several others a 4.0 and 6.0 i think that would have been better but i got a great deal. Check them out. They have exceptional capabilities and settings for all wave conditions.

14 is pretty small. You could get a single RW4 and use the return pump to push water the other direction. I had a 29 gallon biocube and used a RW8 but it was dialed down a lot.
