Chris' 34 gallon Red Sea Max
I downgraded my 90 gallon to this all in one, now that i have a $40k car lol i cant keep the 90 gallon.
Finally got the thread up.... I had to drive to a shopping center to pick-up the rsm and all because Fed-X is not allowed on my street (48' tractor trailor.) ![]() Took about an hour and a 1/2 to setup the stand, not much help with setting it up directions were a little misunderstanding for me but i got it. ![]() Put the tank on the stand. ![]() Took the wrapping and all off, looks nice! ![]() Got everything setup in the tank. Testing the lighting. ![]()

More pics:
I did a leak test (filled it up with water) no leaks so i added the sand that came with the starter kit, and saltwater. ![]() Pic with the rocks in there (i let them dry out i had a problem with those tube snails with the web in my 90 gallon.) ![]() Pic with the lights on. ![]() View of the rocks up close, I'm thinking of adding another peace to the right, or maybe making a zoa area (let them go wild over the sand if possible.... maybe something else. ![]() Right view. ![]() Left view. ![]() Now i have to let it cycle, than ill move everything from my temp 20 gallon long to the new setup & if you are wondering why my tunze nano is sitting on the sand is because my clip broke, i ordered a replacement from marine depot, $8 no worries lol, i wonder if i can use it full blast or ill set it half way... And i did clean the glass after i took the pics because i spilled some saltwater down it lol. More info will be posted as i progress and add the livestock to the new tank.

Sweet, man. Congrats on both!
I've been eyeing the RSM 34 as a possible office tank if I get this new job I'm after. We'll see. ![]() Brandon

any skimmate in the skimmer yet? you probably did not have anything to skim at first.
most folks advise not to skim during the cycle...i guess the whole idea is to produce as much gunk in the tank as possibel so that the good bacteria will appear and start breaking down amonia and nitrites if you skim as you are trying to cycle you probably just make the cycle last longer i am still running the stock skimmer in my RSM with mixed results

those little mini colony rocks can be cool. I got one for my 65g a year or so ago and broke off the individual pieces, now they are colonies everywhere, and I have fragged and traded those. I liked my experience with it and hope you like yours as well.
Tanks looks good.

Heres the new pics, i got 2 hitchhikers on the piece of reef, 2 hermits one regleged and one blue legged (about an inch) pretty cool, I waited to today when the lights come on, they opened up good i think. I'm going to get several more of these pieces off reef, i think they are a better deal. I hope to get some more money so i can buy more soon after i sell the rest of my tanks and stuff.

very cool! I would look into hiding the cord for the powerhead. Run it straight back, then into the compartments or cord track. Hopefully they gave you enough length to do so, otherwise look into getting an extension
