Grape caulurpa toxins

To make long story short my algae scrubber has been taken over with this grape caulurpa which grows thick on screen and under water. When time to harvest I take a plastic knife and slice it thin. My question is when cutting does it release toxins that harms soft corals? If so anyway to keep it for export and reduce the toxic effects?
