I will be going through SAC tomorrow, to drop my son off at Shasta.
Just wondering if you guys could give me some addresses of LFS in the I5 area? Thanks

Pretty much the only store I would recogmend in the greater Sacramento Area would be YourReef. But that is off of I-80 in the Roseville area, but well worth the 15-20min drive from I-5.

Thanks, I will see if I can persuade the wife to drive that far out of the way.

If you cant go there, O street is a good storejust off I-5 on I-80 a few miles.... But yourreef is a really nice and clean store. Not many dry goods, but if you like corals, its the store for you....

I was at Your Reef today, and yes he has lots of cheap frags ($12.50), but nothing great to talk about. If your into zoos just for collecting a bunch then stop by, but if you're looking for something super nice, probably won't find it.
Aqua Life off of Taylor (?) has decent stuff, and much more selection. (altho, they'd sell you a dead fish to make a buck!) Exotic Aquarium off Florin has nice stuff from time to time, but haven't been in months because the service is unbelievably horrrible. These are just my opinions, so don't attack! Have fun. Edit. I5 - O Street and Exotic Aquarium only. Don't waste that $3.15 gas on anything else! |
