Hey Sahin,

Thanks for posting the video again, super! I also appreciate that you want to custumise a light profile. I'm gone a send you a PB... I put my thouths on topic...

Just got a call from my retailer, the beast arrived...

It's the 8 x 54W with 3 x 75 W led. I did a bukb change back in January... so I want to use my 'old' bulbs for a while... I can start with dimming from the start ;-)

These is my light set up till now: (back to front)

Aqua Medic Reef Blue
AM Reef white 10K
Giesemann Pure Atinic
AM Reef white 10K
AM Reef Blue
Giesemann Aqua Bleu
Giesemann Aqua Pink
Gieseman Atinic +
AM 15K
AM Reef blue

The left side of our tankt is fild with mosstly red corals, so I think about to light it with a little more red... the right side I have al couple of small ricordea colonies mayby some more fluoricent effect...

I promice to put some 'makeover' pic in this topic.

Kind regards,
Peter

I am not an electrician, and only know VERY basics, but I would get your circuit checked for fault or one of the fish equipment is leaking current possibly?

Either way, I wouldnt connect your expensive light into that circuit/with those other equipment.

If you can, run a single line with correct gauge wire to supply the current needs of the light at the correct distance.

Let us know how this is sorted out.
Sahin,
ATI Support told me to turn the plug 180 degrees. That seems to have resolved the issue.
I am surprised no one else has experienced this, oh well.

Thanks for update. Glad it worked out. At least we know what to do if this happens for others.

If you dont have enough posts to access Private Messages then use the Tutorial to create a program. If you follow it step by step I'm sure you will know how to use it.

Hi Sahin,

This is a little off topic, but I've decided to go a different direction for my propagation/grow out tank. It will be 48"x24"x24", and I was hoping to get a recommendation on which Sunpower fixture you'd use for SPS. The cost is just too high for the Powermodule.

I was thinking either the 48" 8x54w or 8x80w. Also, which bulbs would you recommend?

Thanks!

If your tank is 48x24x24 then definitely get the 48" 8x54w unit. You WILL get GREAT colours from that unit, I promise.

Bulb combo:

Nice all round combo:
4xBlue+, 2xCoral+, 1xPurple+ and 1x Actinic

Really pops colours and is a KNOWN combo for great colour:
5xBlue+, 2xPurple+ and 1xCoral+

Another very good combo, less red slightly whiter look:
5xBlue+, 1xPurple+ and 2xCoral+

Lets add some colour to this page. This ATI T5/LED Powermodule is an awesome light. Judge for yourself:

EDIT: I still have many brown SPS; this is due to my Alk dropping to 4.5dKH 3 times in the past few months!

FTS taken by my buddy on his phone:

Top down shots I took a few hours ago:

Please start a thread here. I would love to learn about your tank. I love the European SPS tanks (non UK) but due to language barrier I cannot join the forums and participate.

It looks from the picture that your bulbs are in backwards , the labels on your bulbs should be on the power wire side of the fixture

The labels on the bulbs are supposed to be on the side of the fixture with the power wire.

Hey Sahin, I know I asked this question in your build thread but maybe this is a better place to ask..
I'm curious to know if the LEDs in these fixture really play a role in colouring up the corals or if they are simply for aesthetics.
Any 8 bulb t5 fixture (in the right reefer's hands) has the potential to make any and all sps look like jewels.
Do you really think that the LEDs make the sps look better, or do they really just give the tank that mh look by creating brightness and shimmer?

Good question Matt...
I am new to LED but i think in this fixure LED play very small roll in coloring up SPS corals in particular more of a shimmer effect.. I might be wrong

Anyone knows the exact weight of 8x24 bulb fixture. I made a custom light rack done which attaches to my custom made stand. I took the light out of box today and it feels darn heavy like atleast 30lbs if not more . Anyone knows the exact weight bc I don't hve a weighing scale to figure
