If my tang just started showing ich but is eating do I need to quarantine all my fish?

Yes. If one in a tank is exposed, they all are. The DT will need to be fallow (fishless) for a minimum of 72 days while your fish are in QT. I would strongly recommend using the Tank Transfer Method (TTM). If done properly, it is 100% effective.

Trust me I just went through this. Lost 5 fish to ich thinking I had enough time to QT. They all died within 2 days of noticing the first spot. 3 lost in TTM, 2 lost in the display, other 3 are doing OK going through TTM.

While I do actively TTM and QT all my fish, I think the recent CUC addition brought it in as I have not seen a speck of ich on any of my fish in 2 years, until 3 days after I added some more CUC.

I will QT anything wet now!

Yup, I admit it's hard to do, but it's the only way.
Not just for Ick, but for all the others which try to sneak into our DTs
Ever since I followed a 30 day QT, with half dose cupramine for fish only, and dip and inspect corals, never had a problem again, no Ick, no flukes, no red bugs, no flatworms, no nothing and I like it this way. I totally am against hitchhikers As well as if they are free, likely trouble, especially crabs.
