I understand, cksss. I figured it was a long shot. Thanks anyway.

Your tank's looking great, cksss! The mangrove looks happy too. That big, orange sponge is gorgeous! Nice way to wrap up the year!

I agree, your tank looks fantastic! I guess the sponge is doing well. It looks very healthy and colorful!

The green and purple Ochtodes are overgrown and i'll be harvesting them soon
I still no luck with the reds though, they're turning dull (dark) and have stopped growing for quite a while...

The Ricordea florida, yuma and the big orange sponge are doing well too so far.

Added 2 dragon face pipefishes recently. I think they are happy with the pods population. Feels good to be partially back to seahorse keeping

The Ochtodes started creeping up the mangrove. I really need to chomp them down.

And above the tank I've been 'acclimating' the air-plants for the salty environment, for a new project coming up

Beautiful! Gorgeous pics. So cool you have a sustainable pod population, to feed your mandarin and new pipe fish. It looks like your caulerpas are outcompeting your reds. Pruning them down should help.

Are you going to do an air plant wall, behind the tank?

I agree with Michael, when I drastically pruned the caulerpas, my reds took off. The pipes are really cool and I have a soft spot for seahorses and their cousins myself. Your tank looks amazing.

Thanks Michael Thanks vlangel!

The mandarins are feeding on frozen food already! and it took them about 3-months to adapt to the frozen meat diet, not expecting less from the pipefishes

Ok, i'm going to be more active in pruning down the green. It could also be the overgrown Ochtodes since it is considered a 'red macro' which might have similar needs.

The air plants will go above the tank sitting on a rock that will stick out of the water line. This means the light fixture has to be suspended. I'm inspired by the freshwater planted folks who have got rock/log scape out of the water.

So inspiring. Hopefully it won’t be long before my tank is overgrown like yours.

Your air plant idea sounds super cool! You could be right about the ochtodes.

Sharing a top-down view of the Rics after receiving natural sunlight for the whole day. The LEDs are turned on only in the late evening.
