Moving on!
Adding window tint to the back of the tanks. I am sure it's probably not necessary since algae will covered the back wall in no time

Draining all water out and start making some rodi water.
Brainstorm on the live stock transfer. Hopefully will transfer before spring break.

Have been implementing my tank transfer plan.I figured this would be my best option for the transfer since I don't have to acclimate the live stock during the transfer.
So far I got about 75 Gallons of old water and 20+ lbs LR from the old the sump.
My plan was to do 2 (25 gallons each) water changes each day on the old tanks. One in the morning and one in the night and take the water back to fill my new tank. While doing so, I also plan on make about 100-150 Gallons of new water at the new tank. By the time the new tank is completely filled (estimated around 450-475 gallons), the water parameters in my new tanks and old tanks should be about the same.
Once ready, I planned to removed all the corals colonies and frags and placed into holding tank.
Then, removed all live rocks and aquascape them in new tanks. Fish will go afterward and go right into the tank. After that I can take my time in placing the corals into the tank.
Hope this will goes smoothly.

So far I managed to only got 180-190 gallons of water from my old tanks.
Since I am on well water my water pressure is only 40psi.
I decided to get a cheap booster pump from amazon (cost about 1/2 the cost of a aquatec).
Ran it non stop for the last 24+ hours. Very pleased with it. Quiet too! However, the attached hoses vibrated a bit. I think if I shorten the hoses the mounted it onto a 2x4 it should reduced vibrations.

Busy day today! My buddy came down and help me cut down 2 trees in my back yard and then moved some LR from old tanks to new tanks.
I managed to shift the corals around and got the majority of the LR out of my tanks.

Took 2 days with some help from local reefer friends and finally moved majority of live stock. Missing one of the 6-line wrasse (male), I think he hid in the sand (I hope), or possibly hid inside the LR while I removed the rock. If that the case, then it's a goner

since, I did not move the LR in water.

Temporary hang my lights until I get a chance to buy the proper hanging material to make it neater. Right now I am running 5 led modules. Although, its seem to be adequate but I will be adding 2 more from old tanks when I found my male 6-lines wrasse and completely transfer my nem tank.

Everything appears happy after the tank transfer. 1 fatality (the purple lobster was pinned between the rock, RIP! I feed its meat to the fish so nothing went to waste :happy

While the live stock move was a success, I would never do it again!
So after all this craziness, I am taking a short break!
When I get back, I'll continue my project.
- building a light hanging bracket.
- build removable front bottom panel(s).
- build front top access door or panels.
- insulate the fish room
- set up rodi station.
- fish related storage
- insulate the whole basement and install drywall one side of the basement and clean up. Will have to take my time on finishing the basement.

Got back from spring break last weekend! Before the vacation, I set up a second ATO when the first ATO depleted since I have yet moved my ato reservoir from the old location. Turned out the 2nd ato pump failed at half way. So my sump is a bit low, but not too bad.
Build a light hanger and got all 7 of my lights up and tidy up the cords.

Forgot to bring the frozen food for the fish so I whipped up some sea food.
I called it fish sausage! haha
didn't have all the ingredients I like but good enough to get by!
(Salmon, smelts, fish eggs, cyclop eeze, bloodworm)

Thanks, Both tanks tied together into a 90 sump and 100 sump.

Just picked up a copperband 2 weeks ago from a another reefer. It originally only eat PE Mysis. Now, I managed to get it to eat my homemade blend.

A little set back the last 2 months from what I believed was Marine Velvet.
In short, got infected from a tiny fish and loss 9 of my 40 fishies. yellow tang, copperband and mated pair of clowns were among the fatality. Because of the number of fish and rock work, it would be possible for me to remove them to get treatment. So I decided to let fish go through with the immunity treatment process instead. This also help reduced further stress to fish. Also, up the water changes to keep water much cleaner.
It's has been 4 weeks now, no sign of re-infection, finger crossed!

Got a nice surprise a few days ago! Blue/purple clownfish eggs! Usually seen yellow+brown never seen blue before.

Things seem to get better and the fish appears to to much happier since the MV outbreak.
The tomato clownfish laid a new batch of eggs since the last post.
