WOW!!! Thanks for the compliments everyone! I'll post all equipment details later tonight.
I also setup a frag tank on the system today. It's 24"x24"x10" should be great for grow out. I have a 250w Radium over it. |

I would really like some more information about your stand. Do you have a build log for it?

I setup my frag tank a couple days ago and moved over a lot of corals in order to clean up the display. Here is the latest tank shot.

So tight man. I can't get over how bad this tank is dude. It's your fault I just blew 275 on a GC rimless tank. I wish I could've done sphire glass but I just couldn't pull the extra money right now. You outta know how that feels being a student lol What did you use for your black background? I've got a stick on but yours looks painted. Also is there a maximum height that the lights should be above the aquarium so that par levels aren't effected?

Chris,
Looking good just a quick suggestion... the three corals on the back wall appear to be frag-mags? Change up the height of them for a natural break. (...it almost looks like the tunze is shooting them out )

Hey 143,
Where is your return? I have been looking for how it comes out in your tank and can't see anything. I suppose it's just hidden in the shadows of the overflow. Again nice tank, I am getting ready to place my order for a rimless 75g!! Thanks, Matt

Wow man.... wicked set-up!!!
Quick question on a coral you had a pic of earlier. It was in your group of frag pics (I think page two), its the eigth frag down and bright green. What is that?

But you cant see 'Aussie Acan Island' in that pic.......... or the frag tank......... (or the ugly chandelier hanging from the ceiling, but that's a good thing)

Thanks everyone!
tsouth - I am gonna eventually run the lights about 6"moff the water, but I am using the new Icecaps ballasts and they push out much more light than the old ones I used to use. I noticed some corals getting lighter from too much light so I moved the canopy higher up. glassbox-design - Will do. Thanks! Rik - The Aussie Island is no more. I broke all of them off and fragged them up. I gotta get a new camera (Nikon D3). It's $5000!!!! So I'll be selling most of my LPS to get it. |

Holy Crap....... Can I come over and drool. Slightly disappointed at the Elos Mini and I'm one step closer to a GC tank.

kc350twin - Anytime! Just let me know when you'll be in the area.
tsouth - thanks! I'll try and get some pics tonight. DejaVu - It's 24x24x10 Rik - I got rid of that tank. I wanted a shorter one for faster grow-out. |
