Lighting for 55g AGA Canopy
I just purchased an AGA 55g tank w/an AGA stand and canopy. I want to use the tank as a frag tank. The area in the canopy that is available for lighting is 8" wide x 48" long. What type of lighting could I use that would fit there?
Thanks |

Ive got the same setup - unless you mean the "light strip" area is 8 in wide Pull the rest of the crap out of the canopy use 4 T5s on a IceCap 660, make sure you use the Ice Cap reflectors and DO NOT forget some fans. That should give you 340 watts of T5 and trust me - its very dam bright and will grow frags just fine. Do not make the mistake of trating those T5s like VHOs - they will bleach you coral right out. I have mine about 1/2 way up the tank and use the UVL 14k lights.
