Macro Algae out of control

Its been about a year since I added a 2 inch clump of Grape Kelp (Botryocladia sp.) to my tank. As you can see from the two pictures, it has spread quite a bit.

I'm planning on making a reef tank and the grape kelp takes up a lot of really nice spots where corals could be. Most of the red you see are smaller individual plants made of a few bubbles, with its root structure in the rock. If I try to pull one out it usually ends up ripping with the root staying in the rock and growing back.

I was gonna add a coral beauty angelfish and hope that it might start eating it, but besides that I really dont know how to deal with it. Any recomendations?

Shouldn't be too hard to take care of..

Can we get a closer look at the algae to actually confirm it’s grape kelp?

I orderd it from Live Aquaria, and unless they identified it incorrectly (which they do time to time) im pretty certin it is grape kelp, heres some more pics though.

Wont most urchins eat that?

a coral beauty isn't really a hardcore grazer. I would think if any urchins find that palatable they will destroy it quite fast.
