Hermit Crab Climbing up Edge of Tank
One of my small hermit crabs keeps climbing up the edge of my tank, at the silicon joint. I'm sure I'm over reacting but could this activity eventually cause the silicon joint to deteriorate and cause a leak?

I would not worry about it too much, hermit crabs probably won't do much damage

LOL...sorry, you are overreacting a tad, my hermits are wall walkers too, there's nothing they could possibly do to compromise those silicone joints.....but it is funny to watch them climb vertically like ninjas.

The hermits in my reef climb the corners too they get to the top and drop all the time. Its like an X sport to them, base jumping. I'll see one on its way up 10min later I hear it hit the bottom. BB they love it!
