Aclimation for SPS

Hi, All.

How do you acclimate your new SPS frags? Do you drip, temp only? When do you dip? Do you dip before they are acclimated or after?

I'm having a problem with STN. I usually temp acclimate my SPS and then dip them in the water they came in, and then just toss them in. I've never had an issue where my corals didn't show PE after they were placed in, but I would have frags start to STN a month or two later.

My water tests out great, just checking into my acclimation process here.

I do temp and then just drop them into a container of my tank water. Very strong bayer dip for 10-20 minutes depending on where the frag came from.

Temp acclimation only. Though I’m not sure even that is necessary

Float for Temp only. Anything else is not needed, and if problems are happening months in look elsewhere.

Yeppers... I also dip everything after equalizing temp, but then they go straight into the DT.

I just let them temp acclimate and then go straight in. I try to buy from reputable sellers so that I don’t have to dip. I do give it a good look while in the bag still. Probably should be dipping as a minimum though. I got montipora eating nudis and Dino’s from someone before.
