You Know You Are a Large Tank Nerd When....

You finish unpacking 7yrs (350lbs) worth of calcium reactor media. I bought the last 6 bulk bags in North America of Aquamedic Hydrocarbonat. The Caribsea garbage kept clogging my bubble counter. Now I won't have to worry for a long while!

While I don't refer to 50g a nano, I do tend to call anything under 100 as a small tank, to which my wife always replies "There's something wrong with you people"

When you wheel and deal all afternoon to shave off an extra $1000 from the purchase price of a car, but you don't hesitate for a second to pay the msrp on new equipment that's over $10k.

In which case your spouse replies, "There's something wrong with you!"

When you gripe about a $100 plant your wife wants to buy but you consider a $1200 wilsoni because “it’s so cool, AND you have the space for it”

When the deciding factor on the new house/apartment is, "there isn't enough room for my tank. Better keep on looking."

Reefing is'nt how long you been in it. It is how deep you get in it.

Current Tank Info: 400g display build, 300g sump, 75g ATO, 75g refug and a few more. Close to a 1000g. 200g mixing station.

three large swimming pool pumps and some 400W MH lights.

My skimmer alone used 3 Sedra 5000's.

When your local swimming pools pump goes down, the pool guy can not figure it out, and you rebuild it on the spot for him. Then you explain “it’s basically just like my aquarium filter” lol
