Sexing a seahorse
How long after birth can you tell the sex of a Reidi seahorse (ie you can see the pouch of the male )? Is it common to get mostly all females from at birth ?

Anyone ever raised Reidi seahorses? I have some that are four months old and all 4 look like they are females, ie no pouches. Any input ? Thanks

They need to be at least 5 months before you can even begain to sex them. Some can take up to 7-8 months to reach maturity so you can't say 100% that you have a female vs a male until later than this. Uless of course it has a pouch then you can say it's a male.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the answer, I have 4 that are 4 months old and I couldn't at this point see any difference between any of the seahorses.
