Just make sure you leave enough room in your tank to hold enough water if it fails

If the failsafe is at 1.8minutes and it's about 35-40" from the tank it should pump about 1/3 of a gallon

So came home from work corals closed up and one of my acro's three branches died on me. It had about 10. So I pull it and broke off dead branches and broke it into a couple frags and placed them randomly in tank. Hoping that some will leave if the colony died off.. we shall see.
Check parameters. Salt 1.026 Alk 8 Cal 500 Phos basically zero Nitrates basically zero Using red Sea pro salt And dosing aqua vitro line up all rotate different days and one day gets nothing. Fuel 2 times a week 7ml Ions 2 times a week 7ml Calcification 2 times a week 7ml Vibrance. Daily 2 ml Don't have a mag test . And my clown been acting real weirdly ever since the other died. Do I need to rush into another do clowns act weird when partner dies. I never even found the body lol Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk |

Tank still up and running going to post some updates. Been through some ups and downs hurricane last year killed of everything but now we’re back full of frags and hoping for the best. Tank is still the same IM 30micro Running a hydra 52 Red Sea coral color program Mangroves growing from the wild Don’t use the skimmer anymore Testing weekly until I find the sweet spot Going for Red Sea SPS tank numbers I have added 18 frags over the past two weeks so far only two losses. And I think mostly due to shipping. All mostly across and Montis Light I purchased used online AI hydra 52 non had but came with director and goose neck so was a great deal for the price I got it. I love it and yes I I have clouds lighting lunar and acclimation on lol I run the light on I guess a crazy schedule compared to others I use all colors aside from white mostly more 20k than anything. Thinking of running one of the BRS lighting schedules. Skimmer I’ve never been able to really get glowing I don’t think I have enough dirt in water so to speak. So just in chamber floating. I run a jbj ATO for top off with tap and a drops to clean it up. I have zero algae knock on wood. Very light clean up crew but 3 emerald crabs that I think keep it tight. Fish 2 fancy clowns I forgot there names. Last year Irma came through we had no power for 9 days tank sat and turned to mush after two years of growth and a full reef it was a hard thing to watch but know I’m back and going for it. Would like to have a mostly montipora tank I have five in tank now and we shall see hopefully a year from now as my wife says my tank flourishes agian. Pics coming soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just a few pics everything is starting to settle in been testing a lot lately figuring out my consumption rates on everything since I am now dozing 100% Red Sea reef program for sps frags tank parameters.
I can say I can see a difference all though pics don’t do justice I can see my tri color valida turning purple I can see my ponape birds nest pink tips coming in I can see the yellow in my zoas really bright. All the Montis are doing great so far the x factor is my favorite I have with the rainbow in second. The blue polyps are beautiful. Thanks for looking all these frags are about a month into tank so I think it’s gonna be a good year this year for the tank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So today for my reef I made a diy Frag rack also a sturdy structure from the same egg crate to place my rocks and all my farts how I want them came out great I would say. I was trying to achieve a couple things height, places to put new frags, get my rock out of the sand,to create more surface area and a much better aqua scape.
I used the same standard egg crate all the shops use for there tanks. Made the structure this am cutting and using super glue and the a glue gun to hold it all in place. Also made a few beams to hold the weight of the rocks. Gave it a vinegar bath for about an hour since it came from my restaurant and used a tooth brush to clean it up. Did a water change after moving rocks out of tank to replace them to new locations everything looks awesome I think and I believe frags will take off. I was able to create a lot of high light spots lots of low light spots caves water flow areas and am very happy. Obviously the white crate is a little of an eye sore but with time I’m sure will turn more natural color but does not bother me that much I like the clean look Here is a full tank shot of new scape and set up.
