Apex Salinity Probe Question
So I picked up a Litermeter III for automatic water changes. I bought the module that will shut off pumps if the NSW pump gets stuck on. However, Litermeter has nothing to stop the OSW pump from draining the tank.
I plan on buying the newest Apex and was wondering if I plugged the Litermeter into the EB8 and salinity dropped to 1.023, I could program the Apex to cut power to the Litermeter system. Can anyone advise? |

In my experience, the Apex salinity measurement (actually conductivity) is not consistent enough to use for control purposes. In my tank, DC powered pumps interfere with the conductivity probe causing very low values to be reported. There's also the possibility of having air bubbles trapped in the conductivity probe that affect accuracy.
