Can you use water collected from tumble dryer as ro/di

Hello all

I read somewhere that the water collected from a tumbler dryer is 0ppm. i tested it and it does come out at 0ppm. The water has a slight hint of a smell from the washing powder. I live in UK so not a lot of oportunities to dry the cloths outside, so im putting a lof water down the drain and at 0ppm got me thinking. Can you use this water for the fish tank? has anyone done this?
i do have a ro/di unit but if i can save on wasting water etc it would be good
i look forward to the replies..interesting...

thanks

0ppm doesn't mean it doesn't have other chemicals so i wouldn't.

thats what i was thinking, but wanted to make sure, would have been nice to have another source of ro/di water.
What about rain water?

Rain water can have a lot of chemicals in it that we don't want in our tanks. The tumble dryer water might be fine after a pass through a DI filter, if you want to go that route. I am worried about surfactants, though.

The dryer water would have phosphates left from the detergent used at the very least. If you are using straight borax for example this could be the only contamination other perfumes for example are added to most detergent today.
