Thanks Andrew, I'm planning to switch out the bulbs this weekend. I have a good feeling this will work for me

Cramz07 - Thank you. IMO, the 30" gives great dimensions to the tank. I think you'll be very happy with that depth. Good luck with you build.

Looking good, man!
You're ahead of me on stocking the new tank. I'm jealous.

Great build. The tank looks great, love the dimensions. Also, great choice of tank size, skimmer, light fixture, etc

Thanks launchnukes!

I got a chance to switch out my bulbs today. I really like the new look but I feel I can probably go with 1 less Aquablue Special. Considering adding a White Actinic or a Blue+ to replace it.

Here's what it looks like now with:

Front
Blue+
Aqueblue Special
Blue+
Fiji Purple
Aquablue Special
Blue+
Aquablue Special
Blue+

I also picked up this Birdnest mini colony from a frag swap tonight. I really liked the colors on this piece.

Wow, nice tank. I'm a big fan of the minimalist rock work. Can't wait to see everything fill out.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

I picked up some more livestock this weekend.

McKosker's Flasher

Twin Spot Goby

Flame Hawk

Ultimate Efflo from Greg Carroll at a local frag swap.

I also bought a 20L to use as an ATO reservoir. I need a reservoir that would last more than 7 days so I had to get rid of the custom 7 gallon ATO reservoir. Hopefully this will last me at least 10 days between refills.

Looking great Tran!! That new ATO reservoir cover is a clever idea.

I'm having one built too so I hopefully don't have to keep topping it up daily.

Have you changed the Aquablue Special out and replaced it with the White Actinic or a Blue+. It will be interesting to get your new thoughts.

Thanks Andrew. Yes, I switch out one of the AB for the White Actinic. The tank looks a bit warmer then before. I'm going to try out the Blue+ this weekend and see which one I like best of the 3. Here's a FTS of the combo with the White Actinic.

I usually dip in Revive if I get the frags from an online seller or someone I don't know. Lately though, all my frags are from locals who I trust so I know they're pest free. I usually just throw them in the tank and do about 2 weeks light acclimation. I'm noticing all my stonys get a little bleached the first week but they start to color up after that.

So do they go on the sand for 2 weeks and then you put them in their final destination? Or do you inch up over 2 weeks?

Thank you. The fish do love all that swimming space

Pretty much 2 weeks on the sand then final resting place. My main concern right now is having too much PAR. I'm only running all 8 bulbs for 4.5 hrs at the moment until all my stonys get color back up.

love the setup tran, I also love the flame hawk and neon goby, but aren't you afraid that one day your goby will be gobbled up by the hawk?

I got the plumbing done tonight and also added two fans for better air circulation in the stand. One pulls air in while the other pushes air out. I was afraid of noise level but they're pretty quiet. Space is getting a little tight and still undecided where I'm going to place my ATO reservoir. We'll see...

Next I have to figure out the Apex controller and do some cable management. Hopefully I can do the water test this weekend and get the lights hung.

Your setup is awesome! I've been out of the hobby for the last few years and so much has changed. There is a lot of good info in your thread as well.

I have a 48x24x24 (Starts with a T and ends with a R and rymes with Senecor ) on the way and I'm curious about your plumbing. What type of black tubing is that? I don't want to do the traditional white PVC and I'm looking into the flexible tubing. Any help would be appreciated.

Again, very nice setup.

Thanks Jason. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will play nice. I had a Flame Hawk in my 25g in the past and he was a model citizen. So far everyone in the tank is getting along.

Thanks for the compliment and congrats on the new tank. The black tubing is your standard 3/4" vinyl tubing from Home Depot.
