Joe, the two are quite similar. The a. secale branches are what set it apart. Notice how in our tank, the secale radial corallites are really tight giving the axial corallites a solid, "clumpy" look. We have two distinct secale colonies growing in our tank (one left side, the other right side), but both are incredibly dense corals; they are very heavy. The bonsai (not sure if it is a. nana or a. valida), has a distinct rounded/curvy corallite shape, almost lokani or granulosa-ish, if you know what I mean.

Many thanks and simply stunning tank wow wel deserved congrats.
Michael
Thanks Michael. We do not feed SPS corals anything in particular, although we do routinely put some cyclop-eeze in with the fish food. The rationale is that fish food and fish poo provide all the essentials. I will say that we really mix it up with what we feed the fish, always incorporating a wide variety of frozen, pellets, flakes, you name it. As far as dosing, the writeup says it all, we don't do much other than Iodine, and the usual stuff. We used to dose strontium routinely, but since switching to the Aqua Craft salts, the trace elements are being sustained much better with just the water changes.

Thanks to you all. We can't say enough about how gratifying it is to be recognized by all of our peers like this. You guys are great, and we certainly couldn't have our system without all the help and knowledge we've gained from all of our online friends.

Thank You!

Here are some pics of the rock structures:

The structure on the right side of the tank:

The two structures on the left side of the tank:

We later added a bonsai shaped VidaRock ceramic structure in the middle-right area of the tank:

And the current FTS for comparison:

Thank you, vlapinta. We do a lot of staring at it. Sometimes the fish, sometimes the corals, sometimes just enjoying the relaxing beauty of the whole thing.

We appreciate the compliment. Stick with it, you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish by using good common sense husbandry and doing a lot of reading here and elsewhere!
