Halide ballast enclosures?
I have a few halides that I recently upgraded the guts on but the actual boxes the ballasts are in are now rusting and falling apart.
Does anyone know where I can get a single to dual box for magnetic halide ballasts? |

You’re talking about the actual halide enclosures you get as retail right? If you just want an enclosure box any big box hardware has those. If you want the boxes that come with the halides I’d recommend contacting a company like Sunlight Supply that supply halide equipment or perhaps another horticulture company. I’d think they would have it or perhaps let you know where to contact.

I bet if you look at lighting wholesalers/retailers some one could help.

Sunlight supply doesnt appear to carry boxes, only internal parts and whole ballasts.

Ive contacted retailers but they only sell entire ballasts, wholesalers wont talk to me as Im not a business. |

I'm not surprised this is as difficult/impossible find..
There are safety/fire hazard concerns associated with product modification like this.. The consumer is not trusted (for damn good reason) to have proper judgement into placing components of a product into a box of their choosing.. Of course there are metallic "project boxes" sold at all electronic/industrial component suppliers,etc... but none are specifically intended for any specific application as that would require prior agency approval,etc...

Yeah I saw the minimum order number after I posted. Might be a lost cause. You may have to anti up or go with a different direction.

I dont know why I didnt think of project boxes.
I found this after 10 seconds, just need to go measure and see if it will fit. https://www.amazon.com/BUD-Industrie...AL+PROJECT+BOX |

Reminder....Ventillation is critical as well as grounding as well as various other factors that need to be considered.

Well a week late, I just tossed a dual 175 ballast from Hamilton in the trash.
