cloudy water after starting bio pellets
Hi
I just started using npx bio pellets yesterday in my 180 gallon reef tank. I came home this afternoon and noticed that my water was cloudy and that the glass of the aquarium was covered in a film of fine white hair like substance . I looked at the reactor and notice it sloughing a hair like substance. My parameters are fine . I just added bio pellets as a preventative measure to keep nitrates and phosphates in check |

Bacterial bloom, it will eventually clear on its own, or you could half the pellets in your reactor to allow the colonization of the pellets. Then in 4-5 weeks add the remainder when the pellets are properly colonized. Keep skimming wet until clear.

Do you have the reactor output plumbed into your skimmer's intake?
