Hi ,
I am new here, just set up a 120 gallon tank we purchased used, it came with a 4 ft vertex 200. I have the usb link but have no idea if the firmware was every updated. I do not seem to be able to get my custom changes to save it always reverts to the original program. I doubt it since an older gentleman had it and he was not computer literate. I am wondering about updating it and possibly adding new led arrays to the fixture. We have been out of the salt water hobby for many years and while the 200 may be dated its a huge step up from the twin 400 watt halides I had on my last tank. thanks |

Problem connecting Mac to the Vertex Illumina
Hi Folks,
Does anyone have an answer to the problem of connecting their Mac to the Vertex Illumina light? The problems apparently began when Apple introduced the Mavericks OS. Vertex Aquaristik attempted to provide a fix, but I have been unable to connect. The V-Link wireless device isn't even recognized by the Mac. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Gary |

Or if you dont like those prices, buy them at BRS
http://aquarium.bulkreefsupply.com/s...ertex+illumina and use shipito http://www.shipito.com/ to ship them to you anywhere in the world. I live in Australia and I buy everything from BRS and use shipito Much cheaper than buying them here. |

Hey guys
I hope and assistance of you on this because I can not figure it out I bought 2 new Multicolor pad today and when I install these to my lamp, then only the red diodes light I have updated desktop application, Firmware is updated but still no light from UV, green or warm white But what I think is very special is that if I try and program the lights on the screen that is light, so I manage and set up UV, green and warm white but not with desktop application Does anyone have an answer to this problem? |

I have a 20" deep rimless tank and I have hung my Vertex Illumina 360 from the ceiling above it.
Any suggestions on how high above the tank I should have the 360 ??? |

Dont be confused by the holes that "look" like there is a fan there.
I have 2 Vertex Ilumina 360's; the 2 foot has two holes for fans but only one fan fitted at the LCD display end. The three foot has three fan "holes" and only two fans. One fitted on each end. My lights run at max 30° , with a ambient of about 35° I have fans set to ON not AUTO |

Im back! Ive been in and out of the SPS part of the hobby over the last few years and I just ordered a bunch of frags..
My light is still the same setup.. The 260 hanging over a 60 g tank that is 20'' deep and the light is about 12'' off the top of the water.. Currently I am running it at 50% for blue and royal, and 40% for white.. Any suggestions on the best setting for coral growth?

Why can't I find these anywhere?!
I'm looking for the SR260 3ft length but everybody is SOLD OUT!!! I'd go with the SR360 3ft or I'd even go for either model in a 4ft... there are 6footers out there but nothing in a 3 or 4ft. BRS said there is a new model coming out. The Vertexaquaristic website doesn't have anything about a new model... (I'm looking to mount them on my 48" 90gal.)

Also I watched a demo and they showed how the light can start left to right during sun rise and sun set. How do I make my light do that?

It's the wave function you can find in expert mode. When working the graphs are of dotted lines. Buts that's all I can add 'cos I can't get my illumina 260 to save any uploaded program's (it says they are saved, but they aren't)! I guess I'm going to gave to do a reset, I hope you have more luck. Oh and UK support of vertex has been missing for months now, so dont expect too much help from the manufacturer! |
