Disaster has struck

I was jus 2 days away from having this setup run almost flawlessly for a year and then yesterday it happened

The dry wall anchors holding up my light completely failed!! my light fell into the water overnight(so lucky no fire happened)....Now I am in need of a new light.....all of the blue LEDs and moonlights still work but more than half the whites and a few of the greens, purples, reds went out....im still using the light to see if it can sustain my clam and the Sps in the next few days.....I am still getting polyp extension but you cant really see the colors as good as when the light was suspended with all LEDS working and so far I only lost a millie that the light hit when it fell in and my flower petal monti lost all of its green coloration

If I see a Decline in the coral health then you will see a FS ad up in a few days and I will be out of the reefing game for a few months since I haven't been able to find a descent full-time job in weeks

Please pray for the best!!!

I've got an extra 150 watt ballast and a 150 watt DE phoenix bulb (new bulb) you'd just need the reflector and ends for it.

I have some lumenarc minis, 250 watt ballasts, and some used radiums to hold you over if you want to borrow.

Dude, I'll let you have something that'll work for you even long term that'll grow sps. Have a bunch of metal halide stuff, and I even have some nice DIY led pendents with cree leds on it. Hit me up, text me and come by. I'll get you hooked up. Free of charge bro!

Lynchmob, tcoral, mpoletti, and josh thanx a lot!!! I will let u know what's up!!

Update: no loss of any coral so far !!!

Only the flower petal and peach dragon lost color....all other corals are doing ok so far, clam has been gaping for a few days but still reacts fine to shadows and rough water movement, I need a new u-tube for the overflow box cuz the light cracked it when it fell on top of it(using flex tube for right now)... Light also broke a few corals so I will be putting up these accidental frags for sale as soon as I see growth over the glue on the plugs

Really sorry to hear about your misfortune. That really sucks. But it sounds like things could have turned out much worse. Good luck.
