You're averaging almost a post per year!

Yup, and where there’s one there’s usually more!

you got it. thats a bristle worm. theyre beneficial to the tank. they eat left over food. if you handle them be sure to use gloves. they release small spine like porcupine. doesn't hurt much however take while to work them out. most anyone whos handled live rock without gloves has come across this. cool pic.

How do you even get them? My 36 gallon was 2 years old and I thought for sure I'd find one or something different that I don't see during the day when I moved everything over to the 110. I had no worms, no stars, nothing. Maybe due to the type of rock I started with? I did get live rock but it was man made. About the only hitch hiker I had was a snail.

Bristle worm, good part of the CUC. Their population will ebb and flow based on how much you feed. Feed to much, they multiply, feed too little they shrink.

They just show up, from sand, or frags, or what not. Use a red light when all your lights are off, willing to bet you have a few.

I've been trying to find a red or black light in stores. Haven't had any luck. I'll probably have to order one.

I used red tape for broken tail lights over a flashlight lens. Can get the tape at almost any auto parts store. Can even layer it if it is too bright.
