Does anyone know how to open and edit AI's .aip files on a MAC?

once you set them in your MYAI you can edit them . if you have a Ipad use 2 fingers to slide up and down to change intensity without changing each point

I was hoping to edit the resulting text file. I want to slide the time frame forward (later) and drawing all those points for each color would be time consuming. Was hoping just to ad 2 hours to each time in the file.

it is just a text (xml) file but you cannot just edit it because there is a checksum value in the file that needs to have the right value. If the value is incorrect, then uploading will get an error saying invalid file.

This is really a pain specifically to do something like you described.
I am guessing you want to edit the AB+ profile with a ton of time points.
imho, those additional time points are nonsense. the original AB+ profile is just a straight line (two time points). So your other option is to just create a new profile from scratch with just 4 time points.

I have reversed engineered the checksum calculator but have not yet been able to create the final program that will read an edited aip file and update the checksum value in the file.

I got several queries over the years about the checksum for api file.

I finally got some time to put together a webpage to calculate the AIP file checksum.

https://d0ughb0y.github.io/aip/

Please pm if you find any issues.
