switching from Fauna Marin to aquaforest

Hi, i am looking to switch systems to aquaforest, I have read the guide and uderstand the basics. .

Currently running fauna marin zeolight method.

Could you please advise on running your system.

I have 675L nett volume sps tank.

Current paramS
S.G 1.025
ALK 7.7DKH
MG 1400PPM
CA 420PPM
K 390PPM
NITRATE 3-5PPM
PHOSPHATE 0.06MG/L

i use zeolite stones, activated carbons, liverock and skimmer for filtration. With dastaco ca reactor.

I plan to purchase
ProbioS
Np pro
Zeo stones

Questions.

1. Do i currently need to purchase any other items (coral a,b,v,e) or should i wait until my nutrients become lower levels?

2. Do i dose probios daily or weekly?

3. Np pro is daily, correct?

4. How much zeostones do i use and how often should i shake reactor?

5. Should i use phosphate absorber also with this system?

6. somebody please provide a dosing regime for me?

Hi,
First of all thank You for Your questions.

Answers:
1. Slowly You can seting additives for corals - Coral A, B, E, V - Maybe not daily but 3 times a week.

2. Pro Bio S should be dose daily

3. - NP Pro Should be dose daily

4. For Your Tank You Can use over 500g ZeoMix for start. ( 100g/100l) Is good to start from smaller portion. There is no need to shake zeolites.

5. Phosphate Minus will also help to keep PO4 and silicates low - We recommend to Your system.

6. We Can provide
Can We see photos of Your tank?
I will suggest dosing our products.

Aquaforest.

hi, thanks for the reply.

here is a video of the tank taken today. Display tank is 42"x30"x30"

https://youtu.be/ZeFQIjGxt6k

since using the Fauna Marin system my coral colours have darkened and growth has been good. But also I have lots of algae's on my pumps, glass and overflows etc..

I have added some pictures also.

I have purchased today,

pro bio s
-np pro 2l can
1l zeostones

Some questions:
1. it says on label to use 500g of stones per 100L of water, is this correct? I would therefore need 3.35kg of stones....that is far too much I think.

2. does the -np pro need to be shaken? I purchased large 2L size so it can be automatically dosed, but I cannot shake the canister everyday?.

3. based on stocking in video could you please advise dosing regime?

1. Zeo Mix should be use of 100-500 g for 100 l of aquarium water.
So to Your tank it could be 500g

2. -NP Pro not need to be shaken. You don't have to shake Your 2L container.

3. Your products dosing regime:

Pro Bio S - 5 drops daily
-NP Pro - 25ml daily - by dosing pump
Zeo Mix - 500g

Also We recommend to use supplements for corals.
Coral A, Coral B, Coral E, Coral V - for start You can dose 2 drops daily.

Regards,
Aquaforest

hi

thank you for that.

Just to confirm I have 675L NETT Volume (display and sump after displacement)

1. Is the above dosing still correct?
2. Must -NP pro and pro bio S be dosed together? can they be dosed a few hours apart?
3. 2 drops daily of all 4 at the same time? or should there be a gap? what time to dose?

FWIW,
I made the transition and use all the above with zeomix, carbon, phos minus.

I think the NP Pro was a mistake, I only use for 680 liters the following: I am slightly under recommendations.
1. NP Pro 6 drops daily, that is not 25ML, but your version could be diluted for dosing purposes, keep in mind I use the bottles.
2. Pro Bio S 6 drops daily

Correction, the larger plastic bottle of NP Pro is diluted for use with doser.

Significant changes, for the good might I add I had a sort of mini-cycle, once I got through it, I have yet to see my rock structure as clean, very little algae in the tank. As far as color shifting goes, I would imagine it is due to the use of the Coral A, V, E, and B products. The pigments to the sps corals are pulled back, but the tips of each of the corals exhibit pronounced/ extreme coloration. Every product I have used shows nothing but pure quality...

1. We recommend to dose supplements and foods for sps corals when lights is off. Corals are foraging for foods at night.

2. We recommend to dose Pro Bio S daily.
For start we recommend to dose half part thats why we wrote about 5 drops earlier

Aquaforest

My new products arrived..

I will dose 2 drops of each daily...

can I dose them together or must I wait say 10-15mins between dosing each product?

What are indications of overdosing of A,B,E,V?

You Can dose every products in the same time but do not fix it in the same cup or something.

2 drops is ok for now.

You are saying that we dont need to shake the stones. Does that mean that we can put zeo stones in simple reactor and do dosing without shaking at all?
