Need help with Spectrapure UPLC please...

I was wondering if I can have the feed line coming strait from my RODI unit putting it in place of my LLC Control Module I got with the Spectrapure Multi-tank replenisher I bought. Or is the only way the UPLC works correctly is to draw water from a reservoir, and what do they mean that the resevoir need to be vented to prevent occlusion, I dont know what they mean by occlusion. I am also wondering if I should have just gotten the UPLC 2, but when i called spectrapure they didnt mention anything about a second version, and said that this is what i needed, so I just bought the UPLC 1, and I hope I didnt just waste my money
