Crown of Flames macro algae

I’m wanting to add some to my seahorse tank but I don’t know anything about this algae. Will to go sexual like some of the others.

Gracilaria sp AKA crown of flames doesn’t tend to go asexual as long there is enough light to support its life

All macro can go sexual. Fast growing macro that is subjected to strong lighting with insufficient nutrients to support growth rate is the number one reason for macro going sexual. Considering that a tank of ponies would likely be high nutrient, I see little reason for you to worry about macro going sexual.

I just noticed you grow macros. What kinds do you have?

In red macro that is ornamental, I have Gracilaria Hayi, Bortacladia and Halymenia Digitata, sometimes called Dragons Tongue.

In green utilitarian grown in outside propagate which is full of large amphipods and three cultivars of AlgaeBarn copepods, I have Ulva and Enteromorphy.

I only sell to retail stores in Austin. In the future, I may expand to mail order, but not now.
