Red Bubble Algae Outbreak - Need Help

I had a few areas in the tank that I had been able to manually clean and it hasn't really been a problem, but it now is on the move. I noticed that some had found it's way into a powerhead and removed it and cleaned it up real good, but two weeks later I noticed an outbreak. The advice I had recieved was to get some Emerald Crabs, but I haven't noticed them eating any of it.

So, I thought I might see if any body has been able to battle this stuff back. Botryoclidia skotsbergii has given a new challenge to my 3 year old tank. Any suggestions?

It is red bubble algae. I belive it is Botryocladia skotsbergii. It is some crazy stuff. If you ever get some, you might think it looks pretty cool. It starts out as deep red litte bubble and grows into clusters of orange to silvery brown bubbles of different shaps that have little tiny dots that appear florecent orange in my tank. I had some that thank to my powerhead is many! I just don't want it to get worse.
